Liechtenstein

Here is information on the free trade agreement between the European Commission and Liechtenstein.

Trade agreement with Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the European Economic Area (EEA). As Liechtenstein has bilateral relations with Switzerland that include a common economic and monetary area with open borders, the EU-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement of 1972 was extended to include Liechtenstein.

Food legislation in Liechtenstein is considered equivalent to Swiss legislation, which corresponds with the EU’s General Food Law. Please refer to the free trade agreements with Liechtenstein on the European Commission’s website.

The agreements published on the European Commission’s website are an extension of the EU-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement.
